Rating ProductsAll Student rating products contain the same powerful ability to create reusable questions, answers and surveys complete with drag-and-drop capabilities. On-Target offers four levels of reporting to meet your University's or College's need. Select that plan below that is right for you. Bronze LevelThis consists of baseline level reports that most universities currently use to evaluate instructors. These reports include student ratings of instruction by individual class and by instructor. Each type of report will also include summary averages for their department and college. Silver LevelThis consists of departmental, college, and university level reports. At a departmental level, the department chair will be able to view all the courses/classes taught in their department. At the college level, the dean of each college will be able view summary level averages by departments and then be able to drill down within each department by courses/classes if so desired. At the university level, the appropriate administrator (Dean of Academic Affairs, for example) will be able to view all reports and any other variables collected during the semester. For example, a report may consist of the average student rating of instruction by number of evaluations, course level, gender, or even status of instructor. Gold LevelThis consists of reports at the university level which involve statistical analyses. Reports considered are correlation between questions on a likert scale, simple and multiple regression, and comparison of departments/courses/instructors with previous years. Platinum LevelThis consists of reports at the university level and is considered high level statistical analyses. One of the problems that exist today is comparing instructors with one another using numerical averages across campus. This may be inappropriate because courses have different goals, expectations, and levels of difficulties. Recent research demonstrates that evaluations can be influenced by variables other than teaching ability such as student characteristics, course characteristics, and the physical environment. Therefore, if these variables can positively or negatively affect student ratings, they must be taken into consideration before any decisions can be made about faculty promotions or tenure. On-Target Statistics provides in-depth analysis with your data which includes trends, quantile regression, and any adhoc reporting. |
